 I did mine, and its amazing, with the brembo RCS and MPL slave, its like riding a brand new 600 jap bike... super smooth shifting and neutral is still iffy... but much easier!

shifting with a quickshifter is night and day different between stock and fp...

When power is measured on a proper load dyno, results have always showed 2-4 hp and/or has improved top speed over Arrow, Renegade AP+10, RSC Ti, or Power Commander. Power commanders on Aprilia's are kind of lame - partially the result of "tuning to an "A/F Ratio" scheme -

With aftermarket exhaust, power peak will be even higher.

Note: Because the improved 1413  mapping improves BMEP, the idle should rise when the chip is installed. 9 of 10 times, you will have to adjust the air bypass screws and retrim the idle "pots" for proper mixture at cruise and while you are at it, you should "synch" the throttle bodies for absolute smoothest "cruise"
It's not really much different from synching carbs and adjusting the mixture screws on a carburetor, but if you can't do that, you'll have to have it done for you. It's pretty easy actually.
You can install the chip without, but the idle should pick up to 1700 - 1800 rpm and the cruise will be smoother than stock, but not as smooth as it could be.

 If the idle does not pick up to 1700-1800, your fuel pressure IS out of design spec. and will need to be adjusted.
 Evoluzione Adj. Fuel Pressure Regulator kits and FP gauge adapters are available direct from us, Evoluzione and AF1 and many "up to speed" Aprilia dealers.
 It is suggested, in order to eliminate fuel pressure problems (excess richness/ lack of power improvement), that you
 purchase the regulator when you purchase the "1413" chip -

If you are lucky and have an Aprilia that has 43/44 psi (3.0 bar) fuel pressure, the 1413 chip will drop in and do amazingly good things.
If you have more than 45 psi, the chip will be too rich. If you have fuel pressure of 52psi/3.5 bar, the 1413 chip will be too rich and mileage will drop 20% to 30% - with not much, if any performance increase.
So - in order to prevent initial problems and to allow fine tuning after install (for different airbox mods or porting or cams), get the regulator and gauge adapter now.
Note: 1/4 turn on the adjuster screw = ~1 psi change - and magically - 1psi is about equivalent to a main jet size!

The extension of the laboratory for engines of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology was completed in about 1935. Its architect was Rudolf Otto Salvisberg (1882-1940). He had a successful career in Berlin but returned to Switzerland after the advent of the Nazis. His architectural style was somewhat similar to that of Erich Mendelsohn. The staircase of the laboratory is in normal use but well preserved.
