for some reason it was already making a 100 True hp. The original "Full Race Lincoln Continental" and my favorite sport tourer.... Marc |

Adds more low-end / midrange, if the proper main jet is selected, more top-end power. Easy to install and tune - no slide drilling! These kits are smoother than the dynojet kits and are the general first choice in tuning kits by those who have compared. |

The standard RTR-HON-8-04 kit advances the timing 4 degrees. With stock engines with stock compression ratios, there is more power everywhere. Part throttle power is better - helping corner exit speeds. Improved in-town drivability. A nice, simple install with normal hand tools.

Factory Pro's exclusive Imagine Last lap, last corner, 110 mph, two wheel drift... passing on the
outside, bike carefully controlled by just the subtlest of weight
transfer and just a "fingers touch" on the throttle... you run out of
rpm and need to upshift to complete the pass.... you need to shift....
it's ok.... a tap and you are in the 4th, still in a drift....... you
keep slightly pulling... around.... slowly past.... OK - So, maybe you don't drive your XX like the above, but - if you wanted the sweetest shifting bike, ever - this is the kit that takes away in-town "clunk" and really lets the bike "snick" sweetly into every up or down shift - This IS the mod that you want.

Hey Marc,
That's pretty cool, thanks. BTW, I fitted the jet and 4 degree advancer on
Saturday, used all the specs on the instruction sheet, however, I found the
stock jets fitted to my 'bird (Aussie version), were 145's on the outside and
150's for the inside two, no major dramas though, looking at your specs I see
you're tuning at ~2500ft, I live and ride mostly at close to sea level and up to
maybe 1000ft, with your 142 reference main jets suited to ~2500ft I decided to
fit the supplied 145's and use #3 position on the needles, 2 3/4 on the fuel
screws, I did a carb synch whilst I was at it and got them all within 5mmHg, it
was spot on first up, no more flat spot and throttle response was crisp as, do
you have any thoughts?
Thank you. Now I have trouble keeping the front end down in the first two gears
when doing a 1/4 mile blast at my local drag strip....;-))
Cheers, and all the best from down under

Dear Sir or madam,
I'd just like to say
thank you for your great service, I ordered some parts from you to be delivered
to Sydney Australia, they turned up this morning delivered to my door less than
a week later, I wish I could get that sort of service from all of my local
suppliers.
Once again, thank you.
Cheers and all the best from down under.

I recently purchased a Factory Jet Kit for my Honda Blackbird (carbureted).
Can you please tell me your recommendations on the best settings if I'm after
maximum power.
Don't really care if my fuel consumption goes up.
Thanks.

Hi Robby -
Best Power is where the bike should be jetted.
Mileage will be pretty good if you also have Best Power.
If mileage is 20% worse, it's not properly tuned to Best Power. It's too rich.
See! :-) The real answer is that there's not a big difference between Best Power
and Best mileage!

re: CRB-H75-1.0 carb recalibration kit and RTR-HON=8=02 +2 advance kit.
Thanks, Marc for your kit for the XX. The install was simple and what a relief to not have to drill out the slides AKA dynojet install.
The performance improvement has shocked me, especially since the exhaust and air filter remain stock. Based on my initial results, I am nixing plans to
change the exhaust system (noise preference) since I already have a hard
time hanging on under WOT.
I followed the recommended specs exactly, changing the outside jets to 142, and leaving the inside mains at 142, and setting the
needles to the second slot from the top. I then seated the pilots and backed each out the
recommended 2 1/2 turns, and reassembled.
Have you ever dynoed this configuration (stock pipe, air and kits) - and what was the delta? We do not have the Eddy here, only the dynojet deceiver.
P.S. the gasket that came with the ignition advance did not fit. I used Hi-Temp RTV copper successfully,
tho.
Note: The supplied gasket is for the cbr600/900.
You need to supply your own XX gasket. Cheers! Marc

The extension of the laboratory for engines of the
Swiss Federal Institute of Technology was completed in about 1935.
Its architect was Rudolf Otto Salvisberg (1882-1940). He had a
successful career in Berlin but returned to Switzerland after the
advent of the Nazis. His architectural style was somewhat similar to
that of Erich Mendelsohn. The staircase of the laboratory is in
normal use but well preserved. Edited to the tunes of Chemical Residue by Herbie Hancock. |

Maybe in next rewrite, he'll fix the ignition timing and dyno chapters... Otherwise great book with great starting ideas. |
