Factory Pro Series "S09"
In 1989, the GSX-R1100 gained a top-end rush that the
87-88's were lacking in. We raced both of them in the WERA Suzuki Cup series - with the
'89
still being competitive against the heavier, water-cooled 1993 GSX-Rs up until '93.
Sadly, the '89 was retired at Road Atlanta, where it became shorter, narrower
and not as straight as a racebike should be, as it left the track to become an engine donor
for a mini-sprint car...
Great bikes -- With the addition of the later GSX-R forks, it's even better!
As a suggestion, use the Config #30 kit with the BMC #2922 individual air
filters for 8-10 hp peak increase over a properly jetted bike with a stock airbox.
Hint! - Do not even try
to remove the back of the stock airbox and try to
make more hp than the open air filter setup - 2 weeks of work says - nope. With the back
of the airbox removed, the intake "velocity stacks" are too long, totally
disrupting the high rpm fuel delivery curve in a way that's impossible to fix.
Adds more low-end / midrange, if the proper main jet is selected,
more top-end power. Easy to install and tune - no slide drilling!
Note! When replacing a dj kit with
Factory Pro components, be sure to replace the emulsion tubes with stock,
Suzuki tubes (available from Suzuki). The dynojet emulsion tubes will
not work with standard needles. The Mikuni emulsion tubes have ID
numbers and the dynojet tubes are not marked with any part number.

Ignition Advance Kit
This Factory Pro rotor advances the timing 5
degrees over the usual standard "19C0" rotor. With stock
engines with stock compression ratios, there is more power everywhere. Part throttle power
is better - helping corner exit speeds. Improved in-town drivability. A "Must Do!" mod!
Make shifting MUCH quicker and virtually eliminate missed shifts.
This is exactly the same type of kit that Yamaha Racing has used.
Note:
This kit will not fix a damaged transmission - If the bike is
constantly kicking out of second gear, you really need to split the
cases and replace 2nd gear, the gear it mates with and the second
gear shift fork.

Factory Pro manufactures NEW, PLATED replacement needle jets
(called emulsion tubes by some) to original factory specs. The needle jet orifice wears
oblong in as little as 5,000 miles and is particularly aggravated by "in town",
low rpm operation. The result is excessive richness at low rpm that can be partially
compensated for by lowering the fuel level. Inspect and replace when required. A direct replacement for worn, original items. Accepts standard Mikuni main jets and our
Factory Pro Carb Recal Kits.
Also fits Triumph, Bandit 1200 and others with 0-8 needle
jets.

normal use but well preserved.
