"Long Boy"

Finger and screwdriver adjustable extended Fuel Screw

Frustrated with trying to find an "almost 90 degree"  screwdriver to fine adjust your fuel screws for best idle and cruise?
Use Factory Pro's new "finger adjustable" fuel screws to adjust fuel screws for best throttle response. Traveling to high altitude? It's easy to lean out the lowend temporarily.

Make your life easier.

Installation:
Remove old short stock fuel screws, old o-rings, old washers and old spring. The o-ring might be stuck in the carb, so, take a light and make sure it's really out if it didn't come out with the screw (or you can't find it after you took out the screw)
Use a small bent wire to pull it out if it doesn't drop out. Keep the old parts for "spares".

Fuel screw assembly comes with:
3 Long Boy fuel screws
3 new o-rings
3 new washers
3 new springs

The 97 and earlier Triumphs were equipped with Mikuni carbs and the Factory Pro Supersport kit can be the basis for a very sweet running triple.

The horizontally mounted 36mm Mikuni CV carbs, as on the early 900's are very common - They are used on the Triumph 900's and all the 1200's, lots of Suzuki's and some singles of other brands.
These particular carbs have a tendency to wear out the needle jets and end up running very rich at low rpm cruise and at full throttle / 2500 - 3500 rpm.
Sometimes you can pick up a good deal on one of these bikes because "it gets poor mileage and needs to be rebuilt"!

The Factory Pro carb kit is generally regarded as the best of the carb kits available. Nice even power improvement. Not really fussy about main jet selection (other than the bike loses 1 hp on either side of the perfect, best main jet). Needle height is pretty cut and dried, with little fiddling required, from what we've seen and heard.
Nice kit and easy to install - a genuine pleasure to work on a bike that was easy to tune!
As usual, boosts power a bit at full throttle, improves throttle response and wheelie ability. Definitely pulls harder out of 2nd and 3rd gear corners. Gets rid of that pesky flat spot at low rpm, when properly setup.

Hey Temple, just installed the custom TD09 jet kit and Long Boy fuel screws for the 95 Triumph Trident. Initial results right out of the box are outstanding. I will be doing the fine tuning when the slip-ons arrive. I'll be sure and send you the final set-up. Thanks for all your help.

Poor mileage? Fouling, black plugs?

Ahh! Yes.......

Worn needle jets

If you can change jets, you can change these tubes. They tap INTO the bore of the carb.

Get the Float height Gauge (below) to set the float heights accurately.

The extension of the laboratory for engines of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology was completed in about 1935. Its architect was Rudolf Otto Salvisberg (1882-1940). He had a successful career in Berlin but returned to Switzerland after the advent of the Nazis. His architectural style was somewhat similar to that of Erich Mendelsohn. The staircase of the laboratory is in normal use but well preserved.
