EC997 Dyno Tuning Rates

In general -
Custom Fuel Injection tuning ranges from:
 $275 to $475 for fuel tuning on simple FI systems,
$575 to $775 for fuel tuning on more complex FI systems and
$775 to $2000 for custom chips and complex FI systems

We don't tune to some "push a button" fictitious AFR number - we tune for Best Power and use a high speed multi-gas gas Analyzer for the best power. engine smoothness at part throttle and mileage.

Michael  Jordan Racing used one until 2012 and Vesrah Racing used the same EC997 dyno as we use.

fuel rates, fuel rate stagger, diagnose fuel rates, ignition timing, fuel stagger, relative combustion process temperature (optional). AMA level Tuning consult additional.
(EC997 dynos are not prone to tuning errors that dynojet and dynojet clones are known for). There are few people who have more varied 250 carb tuning experience than WSR, mundane to crazy, after AMA National trackside tuning for 10+ years.
2 stroke diagnostic with 4 or 5 gas EGA:    $100
6 hours (one day) of 2 stroke tuning:    $1000.

Downloaded what is supposed to be the "right" map for your exhaust?
Feel that it's still not "right"? Burbly at cruise? Black exhaust pipe? Poor mileage?
Those are all results of possible poor tuning. Engines don't want a simplistic "AFR" at all rpms, loads, throttle positions and engine temps. The most consistent method get them right is to use a dyno like the Realtime HP readout EC997 and a 4 or 5 gas EGA - Without this sort of dyno equipment, a tuner has to make an educated guess (and, objectively, there are a few dynojet owners who can deliver pretty good results using educated guessing)

The S&S supplied Tuning Instructions are only a very rough, general idea of what circuit affects which part of the throttle and rpm band on a relatively stock engine. It's usual to have to deviate from the instructions to get best mileage, power and response.

1000       Customer makes changes. This is the same dyno that most every later AMA 250 national championship rider used. Dynojet Inertia dyno testing does not work optimally on race 2 strokes.
Note: This "6 hours" does not guarantee a perfectly tuned engine - it is for 6 hours of testing and tuning. For example, you can dial in the mains, main air jets, needles, nozzles, float heights, pilots and air/fuel screws and still be left with too rich of a slide (which are too varied and expensive to stock).
Modifying and dialing in slides can take 8 hours. Or you can get on the phone and in 15 minutes, just buy leaner cutaway slides (not really - it doesn't take 8 hours to dial in a two stroke twin's slides after you've done the lion's share of the work).

Usual Scheduling Scenarios:
Usual tuning time is 2-3 days for Teka 4's, Teka SFI's, Power Commanders. Priority Service is available as our scheduling permits. Add $100.
Factory type "race" ecu's will take 2-3 days as they are more complex. Priority Service can be tentatively planned, but, sometimes derailed by software issues.
Nemesis ecu and custom chips take about a week.
Other, rarer ecu's can take 1 to 2 weeks, to allow for weird software issues (as they do exist)

As our scheduling permits, it's often possible to drop a bike off on Friday and pick up Monday.
It usually OK to drop the bike off on your day off and pick up next week's day off without additional storage charges.

As far as newer unlisted tuning systems and ecu's?
We've done a fair number of different race ecu's and have a good handle on how and what the software needs to generally do - so, starting with a new software won't usually be a totally different deal for us and additional charges should be relatively minor.
