Superstock WIN!

Aaron Yates Podiums in 7th Straight AMA Superstock Race

Lexington, OH (August 4, 2008) - Michael Jordan Motor Sports Suzuki’s Aaron Yates won Sunday’s AMA Superstock race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.  This is Yates third win for the Jordan Suzuki team and his seventh consecutive Superstock podium finish in the class.

Yates, who qualified for the pole position for the 16-lap event, got off to a good start, quickly grabbing the hole-shot on his Suzuki GSX-R1000.  Yates put his head down and held the lead until lap 14 when he was briefly passed by the Suzuki ridden by Blake Young.  Yates was able to get by his competitor on lap 15, where he remained and crossed the checkered flag with a 0.931 second margin of victory.  Yates was awarded an additional point each for the pole position and for leading the most laps, in addition to 36 points for the race.  He is currently leading the overall AMA Superstock points standings by 31 points.

EC997 Dyne System Info

TEKA 4 + 4 usb
The Intelligent
Fuel Injection Management System

EC997 Eddy Current Dyne system
the  intelligent dyne system

Hmm...... Well, the mythical Teka 4usb is a couple months away from retail release to selected  Factory Pro Tuning Centers and thanks to Tony, Charles, Tom, Jon and Raul for trying to break it 50 ways and back. It's a solid piece and the new connectors are pretty sweet looking and have some nifty features, including waterproofing and proper assembly. Tested on 600rr's, gsxr's, zx6r's and zx10's, R6's and R1's, Raptors - even works on the Aprilia's, Ducati's and BMW 1200's without "issues".
Easy to tune, too.

Teka SFI:
Factory Pro trusty TEKA SFI, stock ECU reprogrammer tool works on the new 07 gsxr1000 and 750.

In the Dyno arena, our long awaited high speed USB Load Controller (aka "black box") is about ready to replace our trusty serial port version. While we did indeed have the quickest reacting load control dyno in the mc industry for the last 15 years ( I don't think that anybody or dyno company would argue that), the new USB controller feels like it's 10 times quicker to settle at any target rpm. No finicky load "PID" loop fiddling and we have Realtime HP readout on the screen (as usual for us). It's so far ahead of the other guys. It's far ahead of self proclaimed "state of the art" dynos......

For fun, we can do a single pull, fully controlled step test in 1000 rpm increments in about the same time as the "other guys"  do an uncontrolled inertia sweep test......

Why is quicker click here for 14k(warning! turn down speakers!) and accurate load control a benefit? It's the absolute solution, when coupled with our own design and manufacture, high speed 4 gas EGA (I don't think that anybody or dyno company can argue that we have the quickest reading, high capacity, 4/5 gas EGA in the mc industry, either) to developing performance products that will stand up to real world scrutiny - and - development of national class race engines - and - super quick, super precise fuel injection tuning AND ignition timing tuning for a high end dealership.
We've always focused on the higher end tuning locations, rather than "dealership level" tuning - but - now, with the, even quicker tuning speed, you can tune a cbr600rr, from idle to redline and all throttle positions and rpm to Best Power and Engine Smoothness in less than an hour - to individual cylinder detail!

Compare tune to "Best Power" and "Best Engine Smoothness Technology"  to kinda close "tune to an air fuel ratio?
No good comparison between the two to a tuner, a racer or a customer.

Velocity Stacks
While we were developing the above products, we took some of our experience and looked into intake tracts with the EC997 dyno. Whoohoo! By rearranging the relationship between ID, overall length and inlet radius, we've been able to improve, significantly, quite a few bikes, including the R1's, most all of the GSXR's and ZX6r's and ZX10's - and now, this week, the Busa stacks (in stock!!!) -
The stack design in a rubber adapter, an alloy, quick change stack and a patented  clipless stack retaining system.

Hayabusa TOPKICK Camshafts and Superflare Stack package
Just designed a nifty $1099 exchange Hayabusa drop-in cam set and matching Superflare Velocity Stack package. Hayabusa Page
Can a dropin camset with stock valve springs and high velocity Superflare stack set developed on the EC997 dyne System improve power by 15 True hp at 8000 rpm and almost 20 at 10,000 rpm?
Yes, apparently so!
The cam was 15 of the peak 20 and the stacks were an additional 5 up there and the Superflare stacks were responsible for the 15 at 8000 and 9000 rpm.

So - That's about all I can think of this Saturday afternoon in November and have a great day!

For 10 years, Factory Pro supported AMA and WERA Racing with trackside Testing Service.
We were the dyno of choice for most privateers at Road Atlanta WERA for years.

AMA's longest consistent non-manufacturer contingency sponsor - giving back to the privateer racing industry what they gave to us.

Factory Pro's new 2006 model High Speed 4 Gas EGA

Features quick change, flip up filter access and an O2 sensor that is immune to lead fouling (unlike dealership level dynos)

Factory Pro absolutely pioneered the full integration of hi speed digital 4 Gas EGA system into a commercial dyne 15 years ago.

Factory Pro designed and produces the quickest settling integrated 4 gas Analyzer in the world - period. How?
We are tuners, we needed it to tune with - you can't buy a fast reading system from the analyzer companies - so we built our own systems - EPA speced for accuracy - These new 2006 systems include a super hi flow moisture removal system. Moisture ruins gas readings and expensive 02 sensors.

When it comes to an integrated 4 gas? Don't fall for "you don't need that" or "that's not a problem" or "no problem, we can do that later". (those are traditional "make the sale, now" mass marketing words)

Mark Junge's EC997 supported Vesrah Racing - WERA National #1 Endurance and multiple National Sprint Championships Tray Batey and John Jacobi. All engine work developed on the Vesrah EC997 Dyne System.

Rich Oliver - 250 Gran Prix all time AMA Champion - The Factory Pro AMA EC997 helped him rocket to an all time number of AMA Championships.
Chuck Sorensen's ex-factory Aprilia RS250 had 3 years of success on the EC997 dyne systems.
Factory Pro's systems were the only respected dyne systems for these national champions.

Factory Pro's Best Powertm EC997 Dyne Systems helped tune most of the USA's quickest AMA 250gp bikes - including Rich Oliver's, Chuck Sorensen's and Simon Turner's bikes. #1, #2 and #3, year after year.

The EC997, unlike common dealership level dynos, provided 250  riders with dyno tuning settings that actually worked optimally on the racetrack - unlike mass marketed dealership level dynos that provided absolutely incorrect tuning settings - by as much as 5 True HP wrong. If the dyno mass marketed dyno misses by 7% hp on a 250 - how much do they miss by on a 150 hp bike? 10 hp? (the answer is actually, yes, it's not uncommon to see non-optimum HP results when tuning o an AF Ratio). How much on the HD? That metric cruiser? Can you afford to leave 5 hp on the floor and tell a customer that "it's the right af ratio", instead?

#3 Simon Turner / Priority Racing - AMA VIR - Late night at the track searching for that last bit of power - another 16 hour day for all....
The Factory Pro EC997 dyno was the ONLY chassis dyno that consistently worked successfully for 2 stroke engines.
It takes confidence in the dyno equipment to setup at the track and tune for the best in the country.
There were 2 brands of dynos there..... In the last couple years?
Only the Factory Pro EC997 was used.
It worked.

Factory Pro Magic! Patented 80%:20% surface/groove ratio. (patent 6,405,586 B1)
If too much surface material is removed, it will damage tires and wear out the drive roller - too little surface removed and it doesn't improve traction.
We experimented so you aren't the guinea pig.

All of the Best Powertm EC997's feature the patented Factory Pro invented "Hi Trac" slotted drive roller.

Without the patented Factory Pro "Hi Trac" Roller System, the current crop of high hp liter bikes will slip in Steady State mode  (regardless of what the dealership level dyno mass marketers will tell you - I think one dyno company calls it "the new"(??) "Torque Link" for Steady State). Old style Knurled drive rollers slip in a Sweep Test, too - but - it's not as obvious and smoky.
To see if there's tire slippage, look for a shiny black strip in the middle of tire - That's surface overheating from slippage. If it's allowed to continue, the tire will internally blister and chunk.
Common dealership level dynos knurled drive rollers are simply old technology.

Aaron Yates - was long time Factory Pro support rider before Yosh ride. We used the EC997 to help Aaron in his early years.

Lined up around the dealership level dyno

This is the Best Powertm EC997 MC/Quad dyne variant.

Dual drive, coupled drive rollers.
Can be run coupled or uncoupled if you aren't doing many quads at the time. Less inertial mass is always a GOOD thing for super fast rpm settling time.

I shopped for dynos for over 2 years.  I have tuned on all of them, dynojet, Superflow , etc.

The EC997 is the best one.

Link it up with the true 4 gas EGA and I can tune around any O2 sensor driven map and you will feel the difference...not just in your wallet like all the rest. Bold statements but I have done it.....

Going in deep on that reply but what the hey -  I have the best dyno. Thanks
