Be careful!
The slides, according to a field installer, can be mixed up and installed
in the wrong carbs. It didn't happen here and we haven't done an Intruder lately to check
it out, so just be careful.
A good tip:
Take a felt tip marking pen and put 1 slash mark, going across the slide and the carb body.
Do 2 slashes on the other carb top and the slide
and onto the carb body.
On the carb set, if there are some screws that are different than the others - mark them and their locations.
Marking the parts prevents mixing of parts between the 2 carbs AND helps in orientation
during reassembly.

The extension of the laboratory
for engines of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology was completed
in about 1935. Its architect was Rudolf Otto Salvisberg (1882-1940).
He had a successful career in Berlin but returned to Switzerland after
the advent of the Nazis. His architectural style was somewhat similar
to that of Erich Mendelsohn. The staircase of the laboratory is in normal
use but well preserved. Edited to the tunes of Chemical Residue by Herbie Hancock. |
